Old Tillotson Carb leak

Where the hose connects is a 90deg elbow. The elbow turns freely. It also leaks fuel. If I add epoxy, will it solve my problem or break off and leak again eventually???

You have been around this forum long enough to know that we need more information than you have supplied. Model and spec number of the Tecumseh engine? Where is this hose attached, carb or valve breather plate? Time to step it up.
 
Because it is a general adhesive question, not a specific Tillotson question. I looked around and found adhesive at an auto paint store that is safe with fuel.
 
Sorry I’m too stupid to realize you want to permanently attach a hose, with a 90 degree bend to a Tillotson carb. I have never seen a hose permanently attached to these carbs, so I assumed that you were talking about the breather hose mounted on the breather cover and sometimes goes to the carb, depending on engine usage. I also must tell you that if fuel is running out of this hose, your float needle is probably not seating properly, allowing raw fuel to run straight through the carb. I apologize for wasting your time because of my stupidity and will hit the ignore page so we don’t have this communication problem in the future.

He wants to permanently repair the loose plastic fuel inlet fitting. Not permanently attach a fuel line. Please post the product that can do this for people. Must be very fuel resistant.
 
I have yet to see a glue or epoxy that will bond to HDPE plastic which the plastic is mostly is. And the 90 degree fitting is mostly made of brass. So what ever is used must be able to bond both items.

The only suggestion I have is Permatex #1 hardening sealer.

The area has to be absolutely clean with soap and water, then dried with a hair drier.

Then apply the product liberally around the fitting and housing to obtain good sealing and let it sit for a day in the sun to fully cure.

Once cured, don't try to move the fitting.

I got an industrial adhesive. I know.. The surface was clean. After using it a few times, so far so good.

Would you mind sharing the information about what product you used? I'm sure there are others who have or will run into this problem.
