116 will not run at full throttle. It will idle but if I get up to full throttle it will start to run out of gas. I have rebuilt the carb and pulse pump, checked to electric pump and it is putting out correct fuel, changed all of the fuel lines, changed the vaccum line. I'm out of ideas as to what is wrong. any ideas would be appreciated.

If you are getting full fuel flow its sound to me like you might of missed something in the carburetor OH? Is the gas tank vent open? No vacuum leaks?

I have checked every thing that you have suggested and replaced it all. I did find the problem. It was a small cylenoide on the base of the air filter holder. JD people could not tell me exactly what it did, but I removed a small plastic cap off of it and it runs great. Thanks for you thoughts. Bill

Considering that the boys at John Deere could not tell what it was, It would be interesting to know what you did remove, you say it was a solenoid and yet I don't see one at the base of the air-filter on the parts list, is there anyway you can give more info on it, like a photo...please.

I do not have any pictures because I was repairing it for a friend. It sites on the right side of the air filter base with one wire and one vacuum tube. It is only about 1 inch square.
