Needs carb work as well....

I removed the carb. with no mishaps. The tank is dirty but NOT rusty.
These carbs are very simple. As you can see it is all apart. Now to find
a re-build kit if one is still available. Alot of parts places don't list the 6B-S.
thanks

You have all the part numbers you need in the manual EngineMan posted. There is no rebuild kit available, but I think the individual parts are still available. Take the print out of the parts you want to your local Briggs dealer and he should be able to get you the parts. I did look up the needle valve, it is superceded, but available for about $7.00.

I found a NEW carburetor on ebay. It even has some of the governor linkage on it. I have the tank gasket and muffler coming as well.
The pictures I took show that it did not have ANY governor parts at all and the motor doesn't either.

I found all the governor parts. The spring and link. Then I found the governor blade for the engine. Great to find all these OLD parts.
Makes it fun. I have the paint color from California Trimmer also, Italian green.

Well if parts are avaliable I would start replacing new is always better then old and used especially with the carb good score its nice to know excatly the condition of vital parts. Are valves and pieces for valves avaliable? Also might see of you can find a set of rings :)
