This is my 1999 DR Brush Mower with Kawasaki 420v engine. I bought this back in Nov. 2013 after a year of searching for this specific model. I used my cousin's for several years, and it is a great mower for cutting down about anything it will push over! My cousin gave me his long before he died, but unfortunately, things didn't work out(it happens). I am reminded of him every time I turn the key. He thought it was the best machine that he ever bought, and he owned some very nice cars, trucks, and boats during his life. He couldn't believe how well it operated...

Photo of JD D160 we just purchased. Although it's brand new, It came with a few problems that we are working on to correct before it's first mow in the spring. 3000 bucks doesn't buy much, so you gotta take extreme measures, including taking a machine all apart and putting it back together the way we want it. Mainly the front axle & wheel bushings, and the mower spindles.

You seem more patient than I am. I wouldn't drop 3 grand on something and then tear into it to fix a problem.

Just got this the other day off of Craigslist (from a guy about 8 miles down the road) to replace my Craftsman Garden Tractor...which we'll still keep and use for other things after we get it fixed.
I'm cutting almost 5 acres...so...this was/is a necessary upgrade. :smile:

It's a Bush Hog ZT 25.



I have used it the past two days. Wow, is it fast compared the my garden tractor! Love it! It used to take me 4 hours to cut 5 acres. I'm guessing it will take me maybe a little over 2 hours now to cut it all.

It's a pretty nice mower overall...really well built...solid, and it's in great shape for being about 14 years old and only 395 hours on it. Engine is very clean. I couldn't be happier with it...and it was $2k, delivered...which I think is a pretty good deal.

I'm toying with the idea of repainting the deck, foot plate and the facing under the seat...and getting all new stickers in the fall. We'll see how motivated I am about taking it apart to do that when the time comes. :smile:

2013 Hustler Super Duty 60" cut.

I've heard good things about Hustler. I almost bought that exact one...FastTrack 60"...except I guess mine would have been a 2014 model.

I decided to go used instead. It worked better for our budget as it came in at about a third of the price.
