Valve cover leaking, sump gasket/sealant leaking, head gasket leaking, breather gasket leaking, cracked head.
You will need to clean off the oil and then run the engine to narrow down where the oil is coming from.

We need more info, which side do you call front, the flat part or where air filter and cylinders are ?
Can you see about where oil is leaking ?
I looked engine up and I think it's a vertical shaft is that right ?
Did it do anything strange or make noise when it started ?
What mower is it in ?
