I have an older Trac-Vac lawn vacuum powered by a gold colored 5hp horizontal shaft Briggs & Stratton engine. The problem I am having is the plug to check and fill the oil is nearly impossible to get to. Did Briggs & Stratton ever make an extension tube with a dipstick to make this process easier?

The filler/dipstick tube should change out with a lot of B&S engines... compare the filler plug threads with the fill tube threads ... they will likely be the same... :smile:KennyV

On the Briggs motors that I have or have seen they have a fill hole plug on the side of the block and a dipstick hole on the block near the shaft. If you need pics let me know.

Better yet, can you post a photo of "your" engine?

I can't get a picture, the unit is 4 hours away. The model number is 130232. I think I found a dipstick with tube that will fit. Briggs Pn#691379.
Can anyone tell me if this will absolutely fit before I buy one then try to install it a month from now and find out it won't fit?
Thanks for the help.
