Off road mower conversion

I have an opportunity to buy a craftsman LT11 hp mower, and was wondering if it would make for a good off roading platform, or if I should find something else

Just how much the tags are for that on the road mower?

Max speed about 7 mph. Maybe 5" ground clearance @ front and rear axles. Price is right though.
