O-ring sizes

Okay its my turn to ask for help.

CC 53AH8CX750 TANK.

What I am needing is the o-ring sizes for 02002003 fittings. These fittings are over $45 each and that is needed is the o-rings replaced. One goes to PK/PJ pump and the other to the hydraulic line on each adapter fitting. Boy I hate have to guess at the sizes. Hydro Gear doesn't list these as the fitting are provided by CC.

CC is of help as all they want to do is sell the fittings.

Kent I already know how measure them just hoping I did buy a bag 50+ o-ring. And BTW I buy a lot hardware from McMasters already. I was just hoping that some one had already size these or had a PN for them. Oh well I send in my order for the other parts to Gardner tonight.

Oh looks I start draining the oil so I can do the measurements myself. I start that after I post this.

If I had the answer to your question I would have shared it. Did the best I could. Yes, people who help others on forums like this have a hard time finding people with answers to their questions. There are a couple forums I am on where 99% of questions I have are either never answered or are answered by the same three members who say they have wondered the same about that too. Sincerely hope you get the answer to your question.

I do not know if this is correct but here is what AI says, maybe buy one at a local hydraulic shop or NAPA, and see if it is the same:

Sorry, I cant help with the part number.

When I am after a particular "O" ring size, shape, & material and I don't have the details, I take the old "O" ring (& sometimes the fitting) to my local specialist bearing/seal supplier. They can usually assist.

well this project is at a standstill as I can't get the deck off due rust seized couplers. Will either take a lot heat which is not good for the eye couplers or simple them off a replacing. Considering the lack of parts for this ZTR I be better off just letting the customer carry it somewhere else.

The deck lift is so bad that it takes a crowbar just get it move and that problem has to be repaired too. The bearings for the lift are NLA. At least the parts that has to be cutoff to get the deck off and then replaced are available.

Quite often I see stuff like you see, not really worth the effort and pain and I send it to my donor salvage.

Tell the client that you really want his business, and to help him so he doesn't feel snubbed, and change the quote to an hourly rate including the time it takes to find parts. Let him spend his time finding the parts. It is not your fault the system is a problem. Document it. Most states consumer laws allow an update to a bid if one finds unexpected problems.

Most Consumers have no idea how difficult some jobs are. With plain hard to get to items to seized solid parts.

I had several years ago customer to say only takes 30 min to take off and install a Cub Cadet horizontal shaft drive engine after I billed an 1.5 hrs. I said prove it and I provide whatever tools he needs. You know what, he shut and went off complaining about the cost.
