noise in power takeoff

My LT2138 is making a scraping noise when power takeoff is disengaged. It goes away when I engage it.
Any suggestion as to what is causing this?
Is there something I should have been lubricating?

It might ned adjusting
or the bearing might be shot
The PTO clutch is metal to metal
