Noise from rear end

I just purchased the 56V riding mower CMCRM233303 and have noticed upon moving forward or backward from a stop the rear end seems to be making a rattling/grinding noise. I lifted the rear end up and spun the tires and no noise. It appears it is coming from the electric motor? It’s just in front of the rear axle.

No it’s only when accelerating at the very beginning

I found the source of the noise. It’s this metal disc. There is some play in it but I don’t see a way that it can be tightened. Wondering if there is some slack by design.
