The drive clutch lever has no spring tension, it will stay in any position, the transmission cannot be engaged to drive the rear wheels. Is my transmission broken, if so can it be repaired or must it be replaced?
Your cable could be snapped in the case - happened to mine when the cable caught on a shed door hook .
System is easy , cable pulls back a spring lever that makes the pulley engage the small rubber drive belt .
Take the cover off - see if the belt is ok
I wish that were the case. The cable isn't snapped, it is the tranny. Dealer tells me it is a common problem, something about a cone in the tranny fails and it is not repairable ;-(
