No power to starter on my Cub Cadet LT2138

For the last year of so we have had occasional problems getting the starter to work. Normally it just took re-engaging the brake.

Last week I noticed that the engine died when I left the seat even with the parking brake engaged.

Then on Saturday I could not restart the engine no matter what I did to the brake.

This has lead me to believe that the brake interlock switch has gone bad. My plan was to bypass it while I waited for a replacement.
I cannot find it. Does anyone know where it is physically located on this model and what I need to remove to get to it?

Thanks for your help,
Rich

This manual should help you. Electrical diagram, I think it is part number 19. Remove the deck and look under the steering console.move the brake petal and make sure dirt has not fouled the switch.

I got that far. I do not see it even with the mower deck removed.

I'm thinking it must be behind the "screen, Intake Dash". Does that piece just snap into place or there something holding it in place?
I tried prying it off, but did not want to bend it.

Cub Cadet 2135 (135-214F100, 134-214F100) - Cub Cadet Lawn Tractor (SN: 326,006 & Up) Battery, Electrical Components and Switches Diagram and Parts List | PartsTree.com
Part number 18
It will be clearer if you left click on the diagram & open the diagram in a new window.
It is under the floor above the deck.

Just one thought first though, have you checked the fuses ?

I wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions. It was the brake interlock switch.
You have to take the dash off to get to it, what a pain.
