I have a Sabre by John Deere.....has had a few starting problems, but I know the battery is good (recently recharged and getting a spark). But when I turn the key there is absolutely NO sound. I did a total clean on the connectors to the battery, so I know that is not it. But the lights will also not come on. I have checked the wires, wherever accessible, and I don't feel any damage to insulation, etc. I am wondering if it is something as simple as a defective safety switch in the seat. But if that were the problem, would it still prevent the lights from coming on? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Have you checked the fuse?

I believe its a 15 amp fuse in the fuse holder, look near battery or in between battery & ignition switch.

Ok thanks. I will try to find it and get back to you. Is it an in-line style fuse or box style fuse box?

Can you try and jump start it?...the battery could still be bad...bad cell...broken circuit.
