Doing a 2008 Sentinel with a 406777 B & S that I have never touched before
Spasmodically drops one cylinder .
Could not find any obvious problem.
Ran the tiny tach on each side got close enough to the same RPM to rule out a maggy problem
Cleaned the carb so that should be fine & it was too clean not to have had some one else in there before .
Did the valve lashes , were pretty good in the first case
However still drops one side.
Now one plug is rich & the other is quite lean
Would I be right in suspecting some clutz has transposed the jets L to R.
I did try to read the jet numbers but they had been damaged and the old eyes + the biggest coke bottle can't get the stampings big enough for me to read.
Plug photo below.
L is left plug lean burn & right is right plug rich burn.
Checked around and no one has jets in stock at the moment & I really don't want it here for a month while I wait for jets from the USA.
