Nikki carb jet w/ o ring replacement which way??

I was cleaning out the crappy Nikki carb on my b&s engine on my craftsman r110 mower , when the jet went flying out into neverland..ordered a new jet and o ring..dropping the newbjet down into the long plastic shaft, does the o ring side go down first, so looking down into the shaft, you see the larger top of the jet or do you drop down the larger top of the jet and looking down the plastic shaft, you can see the o ring??? YouTube videos show both ways ???
thanks for help

Forget the O ring and look closely at the hole in the jet

One side is fairly well flat and the other is funnel shaped

The funnel shape goes towards the fuel supply

Thank you for your quick response..just to be clear, by fuel supply, you mean fuel at bottom of bowl??
i.e., funnel shape jet is at bottom of plastic shaft in bowl, surrounded by fuel
thanks again

I worded it that way so it would make sense if you had a little think
You pour liquids through a funnel
the main jet is just another type of funnel
