This is my first effort at a posting! I have a new John Deere D105 with catcher and have found it most successful, BUT had a small nudge with a fence rail and broke the hinge on the bonnet and to my horror discovered they are plastic!! The rest of the machine is very robust, as I expect JD units to be ( I also have a 750 JD tractor which is excellent, very strong!) Has anyone else experienced this breakage and if so, does the entire bonnet need to be replaced as the hinge pins seem to be an integral part of the bonnet structure!?
I am also doing up an old Honda H2113 and having problems locating the idler pulley on the belt tensioner arm, can anyone help with a part number and possible vendor?
Thank you and I do enjoy reading the journeys of the various members and their successes.
1) replace th bonnet, they are not very expensive if you don't need all the decals.
2) Or tsske it to a plastic pannel shop and get it welded
3) Or put a backing plate behind it and bolt the 2 halves together.
If it has cracked where they normally have between the two mounting pins you can drill a hole through the pins and pop a bolt in there
