I have a 1yr old Lawn Boy electric start self propelled mower and noticed at the end of last season did not seem to have as much get go. Have mowed once this spring and definitely the self propelled feature is not working on the grass. Fine on driveway, barely moves on grass so have surmissed it has to be the wheels, which have no thread whatsoever and are totally smooth. The replacement wheels to order are the exact same, seems like its just a hard plastic, would like to get something better. Any thoughts are recommendations would be appreciated. Short answer is NO, because it would be difficult to match the drive gear. One thing I did notice in pic 3 is that the wear I’m seeing is due to spinning the wheels on wet grass, causing rapid wear.
