Just a note to introduce myself to the group. I'm located in Cincinnati Ohio; and Lynx Ohio. The wife and I have a farm in Lynx. That is where I keep accumulating mower projects for when I retire next year and finally get a chance to get back to doing what I enjoy; wrenching on anything mechanical. My everyday mower at home is an Exmark turf tracer 48. Up at the farm my main mower is a Ford 1320 with a 5 foot belly mower. up at the farm I also have a 1969 Gravely commercial 10A that I use for rough trimming and a John Deere Deere 240 that I repainted when I bought it 10 years ago. All the metal was rusted. Hopefully the Gravely will get the repaint treatment this winter. I managed to get one set of the dual wheels completely cleaned and powder coated last winter. 35 years ago I restored and rebuilt a Toro whirlwind commercial mower and its wisconsin motor. It needs to be rebuilt and restored again (a lot of hard use at the farm). Then there are the 3 cub cadets: a '63 and two '65's. As you can see, I'm going to need to live to be 110 to get them all done but I'll go with a smile on my face.
I'm glad I finally joined the group. I have gotten answers by reading the posts on the forum. I hope my introduction post is not too long.

Fair's fair! No problem, just sounds like some very interesting equipment.

Yup, danged learning curve to everything you do now days! When you hit reply and get the box you write in, you see a box with a globe, an envelope, and some other icons in it. put your cursor over the second to last one and it will say "Insert image". At this point you just have to remember where you sent it from the camera to your computer. I send it to "My documents" in a "picture" folder and usually name it something that will jog my memory.

That's how I do it, but I do have a good bit of experience with digital cameras and downloading 'stuff'. It takes a few minutes to figure it out, no doubt, but sure does provide a lot of enjoyment. Also helps when you want an answer to "Where does this doo hickey go?" So it is worth learning to do.

If you can't, you can't, but I'm betting we are willing to help you through this, heck, we'd all like to see it!

Thanks, and let us know if you need help.

Mark,
You did great!! Thanks for that. Some really neat projects ahead of you, and we will enjoy seeing them progress, please keep us all in the loop!

That 240 looks like it was just sitting in a long forgotten showroom and got dusty.

A lot of enjoyment there. I've got a Troy Built tiller, about a 73. Problem is.......it still runs, and I still use it! I really do want to restore it, it's a beautiful piece of technology.

Guess I need to get off my duff, but the house needs more restoration than I can keep up with!

Thanks for the pictures,

George
