They're smaller than me so they can get where i can't get my hands to... They must be union workers cause they let you know when they're mad.

I don't know if they belong to union but they got their red union suits on. Most I ran into are prisoners because they are wearing striped jumpsuits.

It's always fun cleaning mud dauber nests out of pressure washer hoses.

Got a tractor in a few weeks ago with a good sized wasp nest under the hood. I am allergic and when they came out to say "Hi" i made a quick exit from the shop. An anaphylactic eposode wasn't on the days agenda. Brake clean stops them like a gunshot. I need to stock up on more Brake clean spray.

Ammonia in a spray bottle knocks all bugs down for the count. Much cheaper than brake cleaner too. It's in most kitchens for cleaning everything. Works great to cut grease and oil. Costs like $1.50 a gallon last I checked.

I'm impressed someone who actually knows how to spell dirt dauber. Most spell it dirt dobber. LOL just for fun

I prefer carb cleaner over brake clean....carb cleaner smells a lot better, not that i'm a chemical sniffer or anything...lol
I can verify that carb or brake clean will take any type wasp right out of the air but, NOT bumble bees.....those bees are TOUGH and will chase you down to sting ya.....of course, bumble bees don't build nests in mowers, that I ever seen!

Ground hornets are even tougher. They are the "tanks" of the insect world!

All of the above bees/wasps are quite genial when one compares them to Yellow Jackets.
Truly stingers with an attitude! These little buggers will sting without any provocation at all! Or at least, very little provocation. And then, zig zag back and forth, just daring you to do something about it!
They all do have their place, though,as predators on the mosquitoes and chiggers and various other crawlies they find in the grass and shrubs around the house. You know, the ones that actively prey on US!

I just use soap and water. Cheap, non-toxic, and doesn't damage parts/plastic/rubber/paint.

Hello, soap and water works, last chance is gasoline and then soap and water.
