New Briggs&Stratton Mower Starting Issues

I recently bought a new MODEL 10630 Lawn Boy Mower with a briggs engine. I've had no problems with the mower and have been using it for 45 minutes to an hour once every three weeks or so. When I went to go start the mower today have three weeks of inactivity the mower would not start. I am positive there is compression... the spark plug and filter are just fine. theres almost no debris under the deck... is this uncommon ? is there something I am missing? thanks in advance

Check to see if you have fuel going into the carb.
