New Blade clutch questions

Thanks to everyone for their helpful input. I installed the D adapter and it seems to have stopped the chatter when idling. In reviewing the IPL it does not show a D adapter but a couple of coved washers that it does show, were not on the old clutch. I think someone replaced the original with the Warner that I removed which has D and the extra washer that an OEM takes were discarded. It’s the only way I can see how this happened. I used D and a single lock washer

I see the double D style adapter used on most riders with electric PTO clutches and the stacked pulley design use just the washers and bolt..

The IPL may have had an amendment or a technical bulletin after the original publication. I also find that IPL's are often recycled and cross over to many different applications.

Auto Doc. The new OEM part I ordered from a Exmark dealer did not come with a D adapter. Aren’t they normally included with a new clutch?

The wires that ran to the clutch had been cut and there were crimped connectors on the wires ahead of the terminal block that plugs into the clutch…that’s what makes me think the clutch had been changed before. But the D adapter did fit and it seems to had have solved the rattling

The D adapter is seldom included in the ones I have ordered. The adapters are made to standardized dimensions, so they are not machine specific.

There are cheap "universal" clutches on the market that do require wiring modifications, and they seldom hold up as good as the name brand ones used by the OEM.
