Sorry, I realize I'm in the wrong forum but you engine guys know a little about all these different small engines and want to save as many as possible.
I found an unusual engine and bought it. So here is my problem, I posted my thread on the Jacobsen forum but there doesn't seem to be much activity over there.
I have what I'm been told could be a Jacobsen twin cylinder / two cycle engine but I can't find any info on it anywhere. Can some one help with some info on this engine, check my thread to see some photos of the engine. What year, what was it on, some say if it is what they say, it's fairly rare. Any help or photo of similar engine would be appreciated.
:confused2::confused2::confused2:

The bulk of the responders either get emails o every post or use the new post drop down so we get every new post across the entire site, no need to post to different sections.
Yes you motor is rare and it looks like no one knows much about it because it was in fact rare.

I did extensive research ob that motor and could not find one single thing about it. Not even a close cousin to it.

It has the looks of a Chase engine. Chase manufactured engines, trucks and farm equipment in the early 1900's. I could be way off, but you might want too search in that direction.

Hey guys thanks for the info, I'll keep on searching. I checked some on the chase engines of which I had never heard of but the little info I did find it looks as though these engines has a domed shaped finned head, this engine is flat finned. They say this engine could have been on an early 40's wide reel mower ??

Just looked at reel mowers and unless there is one 3 times the size of normal that engine would not fit one.

Hey thanks for looking, I recently received this clip from someone. yea, it's wide but it must have really cut some grass.
It looks like this add. might be from 1931 ?? not sure about the number at the bottom. My engine sure does look similar the only difference I can see is the muffler
. Anyone ever seen one of these?

Reel mowers do come in very large sizes
Biggest I have seen was a cricket pitch one that was 80" wide.
