looking for a PTO Clutch 5104572FS - hopefully from a source that actually has one available... Ferris said they did, but that was 3 weeks ago now!

My warehouse is showing it out of stock. What model of ferris does this go on. The briggs parts lookup system isn't tying that part number to any models to cross reference back to a mower.

The 5104572FS (supersede from 5104572) appears to be a Warner 5218-368 but even they got a 2-3 week delivery window. But it is under $200 from Warnerptodirect.Com. Now of course shipping may be added the price at time of ordering.

And IL this is use on the IS 2600Z series.

Well now, the Ferris parts warehouse stated, "Yes, we have one in stock". So I ordered it, back on the 21st... still waiting

For whenever my inventory shows just one in stock I have to go put my hands on it to be sure; otherwise, it may not be there.

If you would confirm that for me, please, I might just need it... otherwise I'll need to bring in a few goats.....

It was just a comment on how I do my inventory sales and Ferris should do the same but apparently they don't. No I don't have one in stock as I never had a need for that particular PTO clutch.

ahhhh ha, got it... but thanks anyway. When I spoke to the parts department I asked him to "confirm" that they had one = "Yes", so I guess someone's walking it here... ;-(

Easy fix for this one.
Go to the Warner web site and search for a similar spec unit with the next size up pulley ( blades will spin a bit quicker ) or slightly smaller ( blades spin slower )
Do not go overboard as a 1/4" is the effective limit
Usually a too big pulley will work with the old belt and a too small will often allow the belt to slip .
Dow here in OZ no one keeps a full size inventory so I regularly have to fit incorrect PTO clutches and some times I do it because the 1/8" different pulley is $ 300 US and the correct size is $ 900 ( or more )
