My grandfather has an old YardMan riding lawn tractor -- 19.5hp twin 46" hydrostatic cut with B & S engine model #42A77, type 1270 01, code 9504125A. The drive belt broke and we need to replace it. Without the model number I can't get a part number. My grandfather is 90 & doesn't remember what year the mower is & if he had a manual on it, it's not to be found now.
Is there anyway to find out the model #?
Under the seat was a sticker with the 800 number to mtd, but when I called & gave her the only legible number next to their phone number (1183A AC), I was told that it has no match to look near the engine instead. There are duplicate stickers on either side stating that it is a 19.5hp twin & to read the instruction manual before starting and in the far right corner in small print is 3672CN, but that led to nothing to.
Any ideas?

Can you post a pic of the mower.
I think what you have is a garden tractor.
Does it have the four bolt rear wheels.
If you can post a side shot pic I can get you a model number that will work

(( racing is the only sport that you need two balls ))
