Need help with my craftsman rider

I have a craftsman LT2000 with a Kohler 17.5 engine.I have checked all the wiring and have replaced the fuel fitler,the carb,the spark plug,and the coil pak,have all so checked the key way on the fly wheel,all it want's to do is crank and back fire through the muffler,i am at my witts end with this rider.It has spark at the plug,it has the kohler cv490s engine it's just to nice of a mower to scrap it.Any help would be gratful,heck you send any help to my e-mail snapon552002002002@yahoo.com Thank you

To get any good help, you need to post the mower's and the engine's model/spec/serial numbers, eh?

How good did it run?
Did it just shut off on you or just would not start next time you went to use it?

it ran fine at the end of last year.
