need help with my 1997 917 mower

I have a 1997 craftsman mower 50" cut 3 speed trans with high and low ranges it has the 22.5 hp kohler commander engine it will not drive it has a model number of 917.259000 and can't find that model number any where

When was the last time the drive belt was changed and the pulleys and idlers were serviced? If it was more than three years ago I would be replacing the drive belt and making sure all parts of the drive system are moving freely and in good condition. Star just beat me in posting a parts breakdown.

I have everything in my cart to buy but when I put the mower I to gear every thing turns but the back wheels main pully on the trans turns if you jack the back of the mower up the wheels will spin but you can stop them with your hand and the drive pully is still spinning I can't find a any other neutral switch on it when u put it in gear and let out the brake it feels like it wants to mover but doesn't
