You have a Tufff Torq TZT13D2L series transaxle. They are about $1600 new and a rebuild kit is about $300.

Rebuild kit is PN 187Q0699210. 2 cylinder block, valve plates P and M, and seal kit. I recommend replacing all the bearings as I done seen one unit that one of the 6203sh2 to fail and take out the whole transaxle.

Do you know what all is included in the kit, and what I might need that is not in the kit ???
Thank you for your quick response and helpful information ...
The kit I found has a slightly different number ... is this the one I need ?? (Tuff Torq, Repair Kit (tzt13d2l) John Deere, 187Q0699230)

Usually the only thing you need to buy is some silicon sealant and some oil
Before you strip the box, blow / brush clean. degrease & soda / sand blast the cases.
Sweep out your work area , damp the floor & if you have to leave the tranny for any length of time cover it with a damp cloth.
Dust is your mortal enemy .
Ignore all the hillbilly's you see on face book / you tube because what they never show is the unit they just repaired packing it in 12 to 18 months latter because their dirtyness botched the job.
They are easy to fix but they must be kept clean.
When you get our apart & see where it is worn you will understand why.
