My dad has been having a problem with his 2002 murray riding mower. It has a Tecumseh 20 HP engine model tvt691.
When he tries to use it it will start but only if the choke is on full blast. When he releases the choke it quits running. The carburetor has gas in the pan so he knows it is getting fuel. He cleaned the carburetor and replace the coil. It still will not run unless the choke is on and it runs really choppy. As soon as he releases the choke it dies. Dad has worked on all types of motors in his 80 years but this one has him stumped. Anyone have any recommendations?
