I have a 40" cut riding Murray 12.5 riding lawn mower and the blade wont engage, Why, what can it be?

drive spindle worn out
spindle pulleys loose
spindle pulley stripped on spindle
blades loose on spindle
tension pulley broken
tension spring broken
tension spring worn out
tension spring mounts flogged out
PTO cable anchor point flogged out.
deck not lifting properly
Deck lift tension spring broken
Deck lift tension spring fallen off
PTO lever pivot broken
PTO lever tensionsing spring broken
PTO lever tensioning spring in wrong hole
PTO lever tensioning spring mounting flogged out.
PTO lever tensioning spring fallen off.
That is about all I can think of covers every 40" Murray mower I am aware of, there might be more not sure.
Some of these will apply to your mower and some will not
But as you are happy to waste our time by neither reading any of the archived posts nor bothering to tell us which one of the 392 different 40" Murry mowers you have.
I see no reason why I should not waste your time.
