MTD snowblower part ID

Hello
I'm working on my MTD 2/26 snowblower model 317e640f000
I'm repalcing the carb and a damaged fuel line, I removed the tank and pulled the fuel line out, I noticed this wire with a white cap,
Not sure if it was just hanging under the tank and dont' know what is for or where it connects to
any help would be appreciated.

That is the AC connection for the headlight that was on some snow blowers.
