Can someone tell me if there is a difference in Drive belt #754-0467 And drive belt #754-0467 A&B.
I was told they were the same belts so I bought the # 754-0467 A&B drive belt. After I installed the
new belt it seemed very loose on the pulleys. Lots more play compaired to the old one I replaced.
MY problem now is the upper drive belt keeps coming off since I replaced the lower drive belt with
the new # 754-0467 A&B . I bought a new upper drive belt and installed it and it comes off pulley also.
I feel that there is a difference in lower drive belt # 754-0467 verses lower drive belt #754-0467 A&B
My manual calls for #754-0467 . Mower is a 2003 HUSKEE made by MTD.
I have installed many belts and I am sure It is on the correct way.

the A and B versions are the superceded part number for the original. You won't get the original number that is in your manual. The top belt if I remember correctly is the short belt, and should be under tension all the time because of the spring loaded idler arm.. the front belt is the one that get slack for stopping and shifting.
