Repairs MTD 995 Agway GT18

Hi I am new to the site. I have an Agway GT18/MTD 995 that I recently obtained. I wanted to check the trans fluid. Apparently someone broke the dip stick. Cant really check the level. I figure if I drain it and refill with the correct amount and make a new dip stick I will be able to check it on a regular basis. Anyone know how much and what type fluid this machine uses?? Not sure how much fluid, but here is the dipstick...

BUT at $38.79, I would Not want to rebuild this tractor with Parts... :smile:KennyV

Wow!!! almost 40$$$ for a dip stick!!. No not rebuilding it. It runs well . Just want to keep it going. I do want to attach a york rake to the back and use this machine to grade my property.
