Hello,

I have a Yard Machine 21" 3 in 1 650 series 6.5 hp that will start, but has low power.
It's not to the point where it will cut off, but the power is too low to cut. I've also
noticed that when I tilt the mower forward at a 45 degree angle to power increases
to 90% normal. As soon as I level it off the power immediately decreases. So far
I've tried cleaning the carburetor by removing the bowl. There was a little dust
present, but even after the cleaning the problem persist. I also sprayed carburetor
fluid in the passages as well as changed the spark plug and filter. Has anyone got
a clue what's causing the problem??

Thanks,
Troy

Hello Troy,
The fact that leaning the thing makes it run better, would suggest that it is a fuel problem of some sort...
Did you check the float level while cleaning the float bowl?..
also water in the bottom of the fuel tank will stay there until you remove it, if it has enough water in it, that can cause a problem, water will stay below the fuel, 45 degree tilt is a lot and could be moving the water away... :smile:KennyV

Kenny,

I agree that it sounds like a fuel issue. I'm not sure how to check the float level? Sounds like I should remove all the gas and add fresh?

Thanks,
Troy
