Hey all. I looked for hours w/ no luck so i figured a forum such as this would be great. I have the following mower and need to install the mower deck. For the life of me i can NOT find where one of the springs goes. i will post a pic and show which one it is from the parts diagram and maybe someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

spring # 36 on the following link. i know the rod end but the end that hooks to the mower frame somewhere is beyond me.

There should be a hole in the body of the mower that the spring hooks into.

Just follow the spring back from the rod then go about 3 more inches and the hole should be there.

Hopefully this works. but look at item 60 which is a hook that hooks onto the axle on the transmission. There is a C next to it. That C is where the other end of 36 attaches.

doesn't work the way I wanted. click on select assembly, go to frame diagram, and look for item 60 next to the tranny. You have a case of the famous disappearing axle hook.

Look on top of the axle between the gear part and where it bolts to the frame. there are grooves along the top. the hook, hooks into that groove and then the spring comes from under the axle and hooks to the hook.
