The chain tensioner screw on the engine side of the bar in front use to be the standard location for all saw brands.I have always thought about the tensioner on my chainsaw, and what a silly place for Stihl to put that screw.Hence I didn't use it too much because of the placement.Well I recently bought a set of dawgs and a side tension upgrade.Whar a difference!!!
If you don't mind PM me with some info on these kits as be some my customers might if they are willing to part with some cash. Most are too cheap though.I have replaced a bunch of the stupid quick adjust chain tensioners with kits to convert to regular type.
