Mowing when it's wet.

It seems to me you'd also be more likely to slip and fall on wet grass...

I take wet grass as a good reason to wait a day to mow.

I think cutting wet grass is hard on both the mower and the grass. As mentioned above wet grass is also slippery and a safety hazard.

I just did this and what everyone says about the grass clumping is absolutely on the button! I gave up halfway through because the grass wasn't even getting to the box, it just clogged the input hole and the engine was labouring. Definitely not worth the effort.

Exactly right! I have a Dixon 5425 ztr that I tried to mow wet grass with...that was a mistake:thumbdown:; It simply does'nt work! I prefer to mow my grass when it's as dry as possible; even the slightest moisture in the grass makes a noticable difference in how easily it clogs!:eek:
