What tractor, deck, etc. are we talking about? Why 1 mulching blade instead of 3?

If this is a rider and not a ZTR whatever you don't let the leaves pile up around the muffler. I had one customer with a four month old JD S180 that wished he didn't as it costed him $2300 to repair the damage from the resulting fire.

Hello T.,

Are you referring to an "X" blade that is used on some machines?

What model machine are you asking about?

Gator blades are good for mulching along with cutting the yard a couple of times back-to-back to get the mulch even finer.

Dixie Chopper has setup that two blades they have an x blade and an h or a t blade. Never cared for it myself but never mowed with it long enough to know how it would work.

yup, do it every year... I leave the deck a bit high and cruise on through the leaves, it doesn't get rid of them completely but the take up a fraction of what the would if they were uncut. I don't have the mulching blades and I usually leave the grass on the long side for the winter months. using a zero turn mower Huskvarna R1936 (??)I think if I blocked off the output chute it may chew them up completely but haven't tried that yet.

I use the Cub to push them into a strip about 2 metres wide then get out the "Victa" (look it up) and mow up the leaves
Victa the first powered rotary push mower made by Victor Richardson right here in good old Australia , now owned by Briggs and Stratton
