Mower wont start

Mower won't start unless I spray starter fluid/jump it.. Usually once spray starter fluid it starts right away.. I fixed a gas line that was leaking yesterday.. Any ways of figuring out how to fix it without bringing it in?

Please supply the engine maker, engine number and the machine it is connected to
Otherwise it gets very confusing.
