Mower wont go

I have a Husqvarna YTH24V48 riding mower. It has 18 hours on it and has been working great. I was mowing just fine and went to back up and the mower would not move. Had to get off unlock the transmission and pull the thing back so that I could go forward again. The mower would go but noticeably slower than just a few seconds previously. I mowed another 50-75 feet and the mower just got slower and slower until it stopped and I could not go forward or backward. The transmission is a General Transmissions RS800 unit all plastic.


Any ideas?

With 18 hours on it warranty should still be valid.
Take it back to the dealer.
Do not touch it least they use this to try to void the warranty.
Thee only part not covered is he belt so you can pull the deck , apply the brake so the belt is loose and check the entire length for cracks splits or chunks missing.
