Mower drive belt very loud.

I bought a mower to fix thinking it was the spindles. John Deer 125 automatic.

Gonna try to be brief so this is easier to read. Thanks in advance for any correct advice.

So it seems the transmission pully is making a loud grinding noise.. when I look at the belt while the break is released, the belt is all wavey and loose while going around. No noise at all while break is engaged.

When I spin the transmission pully it feels smooth. No rough spots or much resistance.
However the pully that's connected under the engine, I'm guessing connected to the engine, is not very smooth and harder to turn when it gets to one area, a loud squeak comes seemingly from inside the engine when I spin it by hand and it gets to that tough area, I almost need 2 hands to spin it all the way around when it gets to that part. Is that normal?

Should I just go ahead and replace the drive belt and transmission pully, or also the pully connected to the engine, (which the pully is connected to a shaft that does not spin independently of the pully so it would'nt actually be the pully) what would that part be called and should I replace it? Should I go ahead and do the spindles on the deck while I'm at it?

I'll do the oil, oil filter, air filter..., any other items to go ahead and knock out on a used mower before I start mowing?

Don't get so pushy some of us are tech's with our own shops to run. Or at least I do and I am the only one here.

Poeple like you and a few others is why some techs quit the site like my cousin did after only two months on the site.

BTW the way I answer your other post about the same mower so I don't know why I did after seeing this thread.

This site is not face book where it is compulsory for for some clot to answer everything within 0.5 nanno seconds.
Second it is a free site so you are not being charged for the advice from experts , techs , or experienced owners of the same mower or others who have had the same problem fixed.
If you want an instant answer, plenty of places who will lighten you wallet and provide you with very little in the way of useful information, I used to be part of one of them , a good little earner .
You are welcome to make assesments and form your own opinions.
There are lots of places where you will get a dozen replies almost instantly.
All of them will simply say "hello" and "God be with you" etc etc etc .

I am a self employed small engine technician as such one of the really good things is I do not have to deal with argressive, nasty or abusive people .
So if you can provide me with a compelling reason why I should offer you my assistance rather than assist the people who have come here nicely or heaven forbid go outside & make some money then please post it .
