We're downsizing from 3 acres to 1 acre and I need to sell one of my toys. I have a 2009 John Deere X300 with 42in deck and snowplow...40 hrs. I also have a 2010 Toro TimeCutter Z5060 with approx 15 hours. I need to sell one, the wife wants to keep the John Deere because of the snow plow...which is overkill. I love the zero turn Toro. What would you do? Thoughts???
Lot of variables here, how much time will you spend mowing versus how much time moving snow? I may be wrong but doesn't Colorado get a fair amount of snow? Does the one acre place have a lot of trees etc. where the Timecutter would actually live up to it's name?
Man, you make me envious, I mow at least one acre here with a self propelled pusher and you have two barely broken in, brand new machines to mow one acre...WAIT A MINUTE, I should be sorry for you, having to sell one of them. If you have much snow removal to do, keep the JD sell the Toro. If not much snow removal, sell the JD, use some of the $$ to buy a 5-6 hp blower. Hope this helps you decide.
