Mower dies on brake release

Rough season so far for this 8 yr. old XT1. Started the season with the fuse blowing fairly often. Tried to find the issue myself, with no luck. Had to go to the repair shop. A few weeks after that the mower would just randomly shut off, but easy to restart. Then had 2 drive belts become shredded. The 3rd belt went on fine but then the new issue with the brake started. Took the brake sensor off and tested it and it tested ok. With the brake issue and the random shutting down, I decided to replace the brake sensor anyway. It did not fix the brake release shutdown. Needing grass cut, I decided to manually keep the brake sensor compressed. That allowed the mower to stay running. Any ideas or recommendations on the brake shutdown problem? Thanks.

Hello P.,

Please provide the product ID label information that is attached to the chassis. It is usually under the seat frame or the area below the seat.

Cub Cadet made constant changes to their designs through the years.

WAG method would be to test the seat switch.
