I have a 1525 cub cadet lawn mower the deck engages for a few seconds and then stops. It has a new clutch assembly on the mower I have power to the clutch when testing with a test light. Has anyone evr experienced this problem if so where do I look for the repair.

You may be losing the ground. Disconnect the electrical connector at the clutch and connect your test light across the two terminals, key on, with the PTO switch engaged (you may need a helper in the seat) and wiggle the harness while watching the test light. I'm not familiar with the clutch on your model - is it completely round or is it triangular shaped with three bolts at the perimeter?

Measure resistance of clutch coil and look up spec for your particular clutch for comparison.

Either losing power/ground, out of adjustment (only on adjustable clutch), or defective new clutch.

A faulty seat switch will also kill the PTO ( thinks you have fallen off ) and on some a faulty reverse safety switch will do the same.

Yep, and that would cause either power or ground to be lost which I already mentioned. First, he needs to determine the root cause before he spends a lot of time checking switches.
