Mower Deck Lubricant Sprays

Thanks to everyone for taking time to respond. It is helpful to get a variety of opinions. I have owned several John Deere consumer-grade lawn tractors over the years and have actually never had a rust issue. I have always scrapped the underside as thoroughly as I could with a putty knife whenever I sharpened or replaced the blades. Then I heard about these sprays. Naively, I imagined by simply coating the underside with one of these sprays before I used the machine for the first time -- presto -- grass would no longer stick to or buildup on the underside of the deck. That doesn't appear to be the case. Which is ok, as life after all is seldom that easy. So, I will just keep scrapping. And be grateful that JD makes a good product.
