The numbers I talked about in post #3 are located on the engine shroud. That is the cover over the engine.

where do you find a code breakdown, or info like that about small engines?

As far as your ignition module, the parts diagram shows one module for engines before 07100300 which translates to October 3, 2007, and another module for engines after 07100200, which translates to October 2, 2007 So on October 2, 2007 they used the 492341 module, and on October 3, 2007 started making engines with the other module

IL correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think Briggs used any letters in their codes in 2003.

I am not sure what year they started using letters as part of the code, but it has been several years, I remember seeing some ZG letters back when they were dot stamping them, and made them about impossible to read.
