I just changed my mower belt on my john deere 135. When I went to re-engage the mower, the belt engages and the blades spin at a low speed -- and I don't hear the mower engine kick in like I did before. When I went to trouble shooting at John Deere site, these items are listed as reasons why mower deck doesn't engage. Any suggestion?
Mower deck drive belt slipping or broken.
キ Mower deck belt tension spring not installed or broken.
キ PTO switch faulty.
キ Operator presence switch not engaged or is faulty.
キ Fuse is blown.
キ Loose electrical connections.

Most common is a loose belt

Belt to big
Routed wrong.
Idler pulley spring broke or off.

Thanks-- routed properly and pretty sure belt is correct as I got from JD supplier. Will check idler pulley spring as I did take that off to add grease.

If you go to edit and change those stupid i s with the 1/2 and dot after to what you really typed it will reappear in English so we can read what you really said.

It looks as if admin is never going to correct it.

Unfortunately that is the BB code from the forum software and there is nothing admin can do about this.
Yep is is aggravating, but again that is the forum software doing this.
