Mower bearly moves in reverse

Iv got a hydro gear 218-2049. It moves fine in forward but when got in reverse it moves like a turtle the slights bump or incline needs a foot to help it move

Sound like a linkage adjustment problem.

i haven't had much time to look at it it moves slow but seams after it gets warm it doesn't even try to move in reverse.   It's a hydrogear 618-0249
