I have a TroyBilt TB30(R), rear engine, 30" mower. Was wondering if anyone has had any experience in replacing the drive belt on this? There's no manual that addresses it. Troybilt only had a video for the repair techs only. So it appears that what seems to be a straight forward repair has turned into a guarded secret by the manufacturer. Photos, instructions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Don' know what happened to the original reply so if this ends up double I appologise.

Dead east job.
Pull off the rear body panel and it is there staring you in the face.
don't know about the secret squirrel bit. That is all we get down here.
I have to use URL Spoofing to access a lot of USA web sites for most of the information I need to fix mowers.

So there you have it.
You can download the diagrams and the owners manual directly from Troy bilt or MTD by inserting your serial number into the search box.
I had to go to Jacks but all you need is there.

Thanks for your help! One other question, the engine is directly over the belt assemblies isn't it? It seems that the belt assemblies are under the engine and frame. I see the diagrams you've enclosed but don't quite understand how to gain access to them. Also, will I need a gear puller or any special tools for a belt replacement?

The engine is bolted to the plate shown at the top of the picture.
The engine pulley sits in the corner shown in the lower belt in between the idler pulleys numbered 33 & 34
