I have heard for the longest time that you should only fertilize once a year but are others doing this?if you fertilize twice a year but at half the strength is that advisable? I am wondering since it was brought up in a conversation over the weekend and between myself and three others, no one knew the correct answer.

Most fertilizers are a good mix of the usually things lawns need...

If you really want to be accurate you should have the soil tested, it is possible to get only the amounts of the things you need... that could be a better application and a less costly one at that... :smile:KennyV

I personally only do it once a year, and that's always worked fine for me. I do like Kenny's idea. So many people do things their own way, it's tough to know what's actually the best sometimes.
