Hey guys
I have a mid 90`s 42" yardman riding mower. My problem started out that gad was getting into oil while it sat in between use.
So I replaced the needle, the needle seat and the float. After doing so the problem still persisted. I then put a gas shut-off on the main line and figured this would fix the problem.
I am still getting gas into my oil while the mower is in use....

Does anyone have any ideas or fixes????
I am open to ideas and suggestions and much appreciated.

I am not a licensed mechanic but can usually figure things out. This has me stumped..

Thanks in advance!

Tony

Get us the model number information from the engine so we can see what you are working on. Also does the engine have a fuel pump.

There is only really 2 ways gas can get in the cases while it is running.
One is through the carb but that would have the engine running really rich so you would see the black smoke.
The other is a ruptured fuel pump diaphram.
Remov the line from the crankcase to the fuel pump.
It is quite normal for oil to be in there but if there is gas in there the fuel pump needs to be replaced.

This is your fuel pump. It is circled in red.

Here is the carburetor. I am going to stop at the parts store and see about a carb kit. Not sure what else is included or worth while seeing how i replaced the needle, seat and float.
going to attempt to pull apart carb and clean it again.

any other ideas???
